Yarbrough Transfer Company is seeking Owner-Operators to play a crucial role in transporting heavy equipment, machinery, and various materials across the Southeastern United States.
Compensation:
- Owner-Operators (Tractor Only) receive a 67% commission on line haul for all loads hauled
- Owner-Operators (Tractor Only) also receive 67% commission on selected accessorial charges, such as tarping, detention, and tipboard charges
- Owner-Operators (Tractor & Trailer) receive a 77% commission on line-haul for all loads hauled
- Owner-Operators (Tractor & Trailer) also receive 77% commission on selected accessorial charges, such as tarping, detention, and tipboard charges
Fuel Surcharge:
- Owner-Operators receive 100% of the fuel surcharge we charge our customers on all loads hauled
- Our fuel surcharges are adjusted daily and based upon YTC’s average fleetwide daily fuel cost
Insurance:
- YTC provides auto liability, general liability, and cargo insurance coverage to all Owner-Operators at no cost
- YTC provides worker’s compensation insurance coverage to all Owner-Operators at a cost equivalent to YTC’s company rates
Permits:
- YTC provides all single trip and annual blanket permits at no cost
Equipment:
- YTC offers tires, chains and binders, and other equipment at a discounted cost
Fuel:
- YTC offers Owner-Operators the opportunity to purchase fuel on the road at deeply discounted prices that are based upon the daily wholesale prices
- Owner-Operators use YTC’s company fuel card to purchase fuel on credit.
Requirements:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record.
- Be at least 24 years of age.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of over-the-road truck driving experience.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have no preventable and/or DOT-recordable commercial vehicle accidents within the prior 12 months.
- Have no more than one moving violation within the previous six months and no more than three moving violations in the past 36 months.
- Have no DUIs, positive drug tests, felonies or fraud or character-related criminal convictions within the past 10 years.
- Meet or exceed the criteria of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations regarding medical certification and drug and alcohol testing, including, without limitation, that all drivers must be able to obtain a minimum 1 year DOT medical certificate from YTC’s approved doctor (medical cards from independent doctors will not be accepted).
